  • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $125,693 to $138,510 + super

The role

This is an Aboriginal Identified role where Aboriginal identity, cultural knowledge or connections are a genuine aspect of the role. Positions are specifically noted under the provisions of the NSW Anti-discrimination Act (1977).

You will work closely with Local Aboriginal Land Councils to deliver, manage and coordinate the implementation of a wide range of projects to achieve the program outcomes and objectives

Bringing your exceptional project management skills, you will manage and oversee all aspects of program and project planning, development and implementation for a range of projects, including developing project plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets, and meeting reporting requirements, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope and established project management methodology

What you will bring to the role

  • Experience in the delivery of grants and working alongside Aboriginal communities
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High level of financial literacy, including ability to complete acquittals, manage financial compliance and internal reporting processes
  • Empathy and emotional intelligence to understand the needs and perspectives of Stakeholders and Communities.
  • Resilience and a positive attitude to persevere through obstacles and maintain productivity during challenging times.
  • Creativity and innovation to bring fresh ideas and approaches to problem-solving and project development.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
  • Enjoys autonomy and demonstrates proficiency in working independently, taking initiative, and making decisions.

What is an essential requirement:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent industry or professional experience in the relevant area
  • This is an Identified role under the Section 14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 and as such Aboriginality is an essential requirement of the role.
  • Aboriginal identified positions are developed where Aboriginal identity, cultural knowledge or connections are a genuine aspect of the role. Positions are specifically noted under the provisions of the NSW Anti-discrimination Act (1977) for Aboriginal people who meet the following criteria:

  • is of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, and
  • identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, and
  • is accepted as a such by the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community.

  • Sensitivity to and understanding of Aboriginal Culture and an excellent understanding of Aboriginal community governance and structures.
  • This role requires extensive travel within NSW and a current NSW Driver’s Licence.
