  • Clerk Grade 7/8 with a salary range of $110,266 - $122,058 pa plus superannuation & leave loading.
  • Ongoing role based in Sydney CBD, NSW
  • Hybrid work environment, with 3 days in the office required per week

About the role

As the Audit and Compliance Officer, you will work closely with Senior Audit and Compliance Officers to coordinate the annual internal audit program, delivered in partnership with our co-sourced internal audit provider. Your responsibilities will include supporting audit planning activities, preparing documentation, liaising with stakeholders, and assisting in the management of audit fieldwork and reporting processes. You will also play a key role in tracking and following up on the implementation status of audit recommendations, ensuring timely updates and accurate reporting to senior management and the Audit and Risk Committee.

In addition, you will work with compliance obligation owners to support their understanding of key requirements and help maintain accurate compliance records. You will provide general administrative support to the team, including maintaining registers, preparing reports, and coordinating meetings. About You

You are a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of internal audit and compliance processes. You are comfortable working in a complex regulatory environment and can build effective relationships to support the delivery of audit and compliance programs.

You will have:

  • A sound understanding of internal audit processes, including audit planning, delivery, and follow-up
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a willingness to learn
  • Experience in the public sector or with co-sourced audit providers (desirable)
