Position Information

East Hills Boys High School is a comprehensive boys high school in the South Western area of Sydney with a current enrolment of 863 students (68% from non-English speaking backgrounds including international students). The school's core values are Respect, Responsibility and Learning. The school's focus is maximising student learning outcomes with a continuing commitment to literacy and numeracy. The school has a proud tradition of strong academic achievement and excellence in the fields of sport and creative arts. The school's wellbeing program is supported by the Berry Street Education Model.

Selection Criteria
  1. Approval to teach Year 7-10 Geography, Year 9-10 Commerce, Stage 6 Geography and Business Studies.
  2. Demonstrated ability to plan and implement curriculum to drive improved student learning outcomes.
  3. Capacity to engage students with a differentiated curriculum, to meet the individual learning needs of a diverse student body.
  4. Capacity to work collaboratively as part of the HSIE Faculty to drive quality, evidence-based teaching initiatives.
Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
