About this role:
We are seeking experienced and passionate Disability Support Workers with excellent availability to join our dedicated team in Gladstone. If you have a genuine commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of people with disabilities, and are flexible to work various shifts, we would love to hear from you!
In this role you will be supporting clients that require sensitive manners and understanding complex behaviours. You will be empathetic and have strong interpersonal skills. Shifts are set on fortnightly rosters that consist of days Monday to Fridays and weekends. You will be working within the learning and lifestyle centre and community access for In home support of participants.
We also require:
- A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
- Experience with complex support behaviours and using Positive Behaviour Plans
- The capacity to meet the physical requirements as some manual handling tasks may be involved.
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), First Aid, CPR, National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work), and an open Drivers License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle.
