About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer with 3-6 years of post-admission experience (PAE) to join our thriving practice. Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Advise on Business Transactions : Guide clients through the process of buying or selling businesses, ensuring due diligence and smooth transaction management.
- Draft and Negotiate Business Contracts : Provide expert advice on commercial contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating terms to best serve client interests.
- Manage Shareholder Agreements and Transactions : Assist clients in structuring shareholder arrangements, conducting buyouts, or navigating complex shareholder disputes.
- Corporate Advisory Services : Offer strategic advice on corporate governance, restructuring, and compliance matters, ensuring clients meet their legal obligations.
- Intellectual Property (IP) Law (optional) : Support clients with IP protection, registration, and management, ensuring they maximize their IP assets.
- Conveyancing (optional but desired) : Assist with property transactions, including sales, purchases, and lease agreements.
- Leasing Matters : Advise clients on leasing agreements, lease disputes, and property management, with a focus on commercial leasing.
- Tax, Planning, and Environment Law (optional) : Provide guidance on tax implications, planning approvals, and environmental considerations for business operations.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3-6 years of PAE in commercial law, with a strong foundation in buy/sell transactions and corporate advisory .
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and managing shareholder agreements .
- Exposure to IP law , conveyancing , tax , and environmental planning is highly regarded, but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering technical excellence.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
