Roof Carpenter (Sunshine Coast)

A company providing expert roofing services in different regions in Queensland is looking for highly qualified Roof Carpenter.
Salary ranges: $70K - 80K annually
Full time positions available.
Our client is a leading player in the Metal Roofing industry with over 48 years of combined experience in Industrial, Commercial, and Residential roofing. They are currently expanding their team due to industry growth. We have multiple positions available for skilled and experienced Roof Carpenters based on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
Responsibilities and Duties:

• Remove old roofs, install insulation, install new roofing materials, wall cladding, flashings and necessary rainwater goods;
• Determination of suitable materials for installation;
• Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
• Ordering and selecting materials and preparing layouts.
• Erecting framework, roof framing and verifying trueness of structures.
• Sheathing roofs and fitting external wall cladding.
• The ability to liaise with project managers as required and supervisors as required;
• Following all Health and Safety Legislation requirements and clients policies;
• Clean and maintain equipment at the job site;
• Attend training as and when required.

Job Requirements:

• Graduation from a standard vocational or high school and minimum 3 years work experience in roofing/labouring operations.
• Hold the necessary license and/or have the necessary knowledge and skills to operate various tools and machines as required on site, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair and maintenance requirements.

Successful Applicant Requirements:

• Clear and concise communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Availability to travel throughout Australia
• Previous metal roofing experience
• Proficiency in appropriate tools and equipment usage.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings
• Comfortable working safely at heights
