About The Team
The City's Haulage and Logistics Operations Team sit within the Construction Business Unit who are responsible for the project management of all community facilities and open space capital works projects (including new/update and renewals), for the city’s community facing facilities including the city's community centres, libraries, sporting venues, aquatic centres, cemeteries, landfills, waste and recycling centres, and open space areas including beaches, waterways, lakes, foreshores and parklands.
About Your New Role
The HC Truck Driver position will primarilybe to operate the float and tilt tray and other heavy trucks. In order to facilitate the transportation of heavy machinery and materials in a safe, orderly and efficient manner.
Responsibilities Will Include
Operating and driving heavy combination vehicles inclusive of securing and restraining equipment in a safe manner Recording driver operator prestart maintenance records, risk assessments and fault reporting of Council's heavy plant and equipment From time to time, assisting other council staff and contractors on site. This may entail manual labouring and the use of hand tools Maintaining a high level of customer service by liaising with relevant project supervisors regarding the safe and efficient employment of plant and equipment on job sites
We're Looking For People Who Have
Experience in driving and operating a float/low loader and tilt trays A high level of self-motivation and initiative, with the ability to work unsupervised Be capable of thinking laterally and applying problem-solving techniques to develop and implement solutions Able to deliver a high-quality service to customers (internal/external) and understand and react responsively to customer expectations Possess a HC licence or above Possess a General Construction Induction (White Card) High Risk Tickets in Dogging, Forklift and Vehicle loading Cranes would be advantageous
