Description:

The Team:

  • St Helens District Hospital is located on the stunning East of Tasmania, with its beautiful beaches and pristine environment.
  • The hospital has been at the Annie Street site since May 2019 and includes 9 subacute medical beds and a 4 bay accident and emergency department with plenty of onsite parking.
  • Dynamic, friendly and supportive team.

St. Helens District Hospital has Tasmania’s busiest rural emergency department, with an increase in emergency presentations during peak tourist season from December until April. The hospital provides a fast-paced environment that delivers high quality patient centred care. Our focus is on providing excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

The Role:

  • Clean allocated areas of the hospital, complying with standards of infection control.
  • Assist in preparation and delivery of meals to clients in accordance with Food Safety Legislation and Guidelines in Tasmania.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, casual, shift worker (fully rotational) position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 24 months.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $59,930 to $61,367 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
