About the OpportunityThe City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is looking for a full-time Coordinator Engineering Planning , based in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, WA.
This role reports to the Manager Engineering and is responsible for leading strategic planning across key infrastructure assets, ensuring the City’s long-term engineering needs are met.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Producing strategic engineering plans for infrastructure assets
- Determining works programs aligned with strategic requirements
- Developing a 15-year Long-Term Financial Plan for engineering infrastructure
- Presenting strategic plans to Council with project, funding, and technical details
- Managing grant applications, reporting, and acquittals for infrastructure projects
- Coordinating responses to development, structure, and subdivision applications

About YouTo qualify, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering , with at least 1–2 years relevant experience in a similar role. Experience in supervising or leading small teams will be a significant advantage.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Experience in local government environments
- Background in road infrastructure planning or delivery
- Proficiency in traffic, drainage, and asset planning
- Familiarity with long-term financial and infrastructure strategy
- Grant writing and stakeholder engagement experience
