The Team:
Work with an experienced and professional team of Forensic Nurse Examiners, Forensic Medical Examiners and Clinica Nurse Consultants with the opportunity to collaborate with emergency frontline services and non-government organisations to provide compassionate and responsive care to victim-survivors of sexual assault and family violence.
The Role:
Participate in an out-of-hours on call roster to provide specialist advice and expert forensic examinations. Comprehensive onboarding, regular professional development opportunities and pathways for ongoing education and qualification are available.
You will need:
- Demonstrated clinical experience in forensic examination or the ability to acquire the same, with the capacity to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement and initiative and work with minimal supervision.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills and the proven ability to work constructively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Highly developed skills regarding the coordination and integration of contemporary information and research and apply expert clinical knowledge to provide safe, high quality, trauma-informed care that is culturally responsive.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 months
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Plus 25%Casual Loading - Equivalent of $67.15 to $70.85 per hour.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
