Description:

The Team:

Work with an experienced and professional team of Forensic Nurse Examiners, Forensic Medical Examiners and Clinica Nurse Consultants with the opportunity to collaborate with emergency frontline services and non-government organisations to provide compassionate and responsive care to victim-survivors of sexual assault and family violence.

The Role:

Participate in an out-of-hours on call roster to provide specialist advice and expert forensic examinations. Comprehensive onboarding, regular professional development opportunities and pathways for ongoing education and qualification are available.

You will need:

  1. Demonstrated clinical experience in forensic examination or the ability to acquire the same, with the capacity to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement and initiative and work with minimal supervision.
  2. Highly developed interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills and the proven ability to work constructively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  3. Highly developed skills regarding the coordination and integration of contemporary information and research and apply expert clinical knowledge to provide safe, high quality, trauma-informed care that is culturally responsive.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 months

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Plus 25%Casual Loading - Equivalent of $67.15 to $70.85 per hour.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

  • Current Working with Children Registration
