Description:

This role is an opportunity to work within a team of planning experts to develop and design tactical plans for the delivery of forest and fire management works, including Burn Plans, Site Plans and Works Orders, to meet all required standards and deliver on set objectives.

The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively across teams, share information and acknowledge others' efforts and step in to help others where required. They will also demonstrate a positive work culture and integrity while working in an inclusive team environment.

This role offers a wide variety of work and opportunities to gain experience in contract management, stakeholder engagement and fire & emergency roles. Flexible work arrangements are on

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • A broad knowledge and/or relevant experience in the planning and delivery of fuel, road, track, recreation and environmental maintenance and improvement programs is desirable.
  • Contractor management skills, including the ability to manage procurement, are desirable.

This is a fixed term position available until 5 October 2025. The work location for this position is flexible in the Far South West District (Heywood, Casterton, Dartmoor), with hybrid work arrangements available.
