We have an exciting opportunity for an Inner City Gardener to join our team!
What You Will Do:
As an Inner City Gardener, you will be part of a passionate team responsible for the maintenance and presentation of gardens, lawns, and public spaces across key Council venues. From keeping our green spaces lush and welcoming, to supporting local events, your work will have a direct impact on the daily experience of our community and visitors.
What We Are Looking For:
Current Queensland Light Rigid (LR) Driver’s Licence or ability to obtain.
Certificate III in Horticulture and or considerable industry experience.
Demonstrated previous experience in high profile amenity and garden maintenance such as practical experience in irrigation systems, tree pruning, applications of fertiliser and general use herbicides & pesticides, etc.
Demonstrated sound knowledge of the use of Horticultural machinery such as mowers, blowers, chainsaws, pole saws, hedgers, edges, aerators, etc.
White Card (General Safety Construction).
Working in Proximity to Traffic Awareness part 1 & 2 Qualification complying with (MUTCD) or ability to obtain.
Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a high-profile public environment with an emphasis on communication and providing quality customer service.
