About the Role:
Working in a small mobile team you will be required to carry out cleansing on the roads, footpaths, gardens, parks and facilities within the Council area. This position offers great working hours - 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday with potential for overtime on Saturday morning to noon if required.
Duties:
- General maintenance and cleaning
- Upkeep and improvements of other council assets
- Using the backpack blower
- Rubbish / furniture removal
- Driving the Cantor truck
Skills and Experience:
- Must have a current Driver's License with Class MR Drivers Licence (Desirable)
- Experience in labouring (or even trade) in a discipline related to civil maintenance e.g. concreting
- Strong WHS knowledge.
- Be able to exercise initiative and judgment
- Be able to work under general direction and exercise a high level of autonomy
- Have a willingness to be flexible
- Possess exceptional customer service skill
- Have a strong work ethic and approach
