About the role
- Deliver, as a member of a multidisciplinary team, advanced cardiac clinical measurements services involving complex caseloads to the Metro North Hospital and Health Service (The Prince Charles, Redcliffe and Caboolture Hospitals) in accordance with contemporary clinical practice standards.
- Perform, with a high degree of independence and with infrequent clinical practice supervision, as an advanced practitioner in cardiac sciences modalities as a multi-specialist practitioner in the Cardiac Sciences Unit, The Prince Charles, Redcliffe and Caboolture Hospitals (Metro North Hospital and Health Service).
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Health's core values, as outlined above.
- Undertake high level scientific clinical measurements services (including after-hours emergency clinical on call and outreach clinic services) as part of a multidisciplinary team at The Prince Charles, Redcliffe and Caboolture Hospitals (Metro North Hospital and Health Service).
- Apply professional judgement to the complex caseloads in these clinical measurement specialties, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence to support the continuum of care in the Metro North Hospital and Health Service.
- Independently coordinate clinical education programs for pre-entry students and subordinate cardiac clinical measurements scientists by expanding, adapting or modifying clinical principles, procedures and techniques in the preparation of educational curricular.
- Integrate evidence based practice to make complex clinical cardiac scientific decisions within specialty areas in the Cardiac Sciences Unit.
- Contribute to clinical research activities within the Cardiac Sciences Unit as:
- a designated researcher within a project team;
- or through occasional research publication in peer reviewed journals.
- Work cooperatively and effectively within a cardiac sciences team to monitor professional standards and quality outcomes for HP3 level cardiac clinical measurements scientists in the Cardiac Sciences Unit, The Prince Charles, Redcliffe and Caboolture Hospitals (Metro North Hospital and Health Service).
