About the opportunity:
Position: Clinical Nurse Consultant (Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse)
Vacancy: Fixed Term Temporary part-time, 32 hours p.f. upto 27/06/2027.
Location: Townsville Cancer Centre, Townsville University Hospital
Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurses demonstrate expert clinical knowledge and advanced clinical problem-solving skills and are accountable for their own clinical practice. The purpose of this position is to work as part of the multidisciplinary team in providing support and education to individuals and carers from the time of diagnosis of prostate cancer throughout their treatment journey.

- Salary range: $66.85 to $72.58 p.h. (Nurse Grade 7)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

Requirements:
- Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Highly Desirable: Tertiary Qualification relevant to the position or working towards a relevant Qualification is highly regarded. The recommended minimum entry is the Prostate Care Nursing Course (Latrobe University).
- The Prostate Cancer Foundation provides support and funding towards Professional Development activities and networking events.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
