We are currently looking to recruit a Workshop Supervisor to join our Kangaroo Flat Depot.

The Position:
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead our team of skilled technicians and mechanics. As the Workshop Supervisor at Christians Bus Company, you will be responsible for providing support to the Workshop Manager and wider maintenance team, ensuring the highest level of efficiency, quality, and safety. Your strong leadership and technical expertise will be vital in driving our workshop to new heights of productivity and excellence.
This includes:
• Assist in scheduling and managing all planned and corrective fleet maintenance
• Carry out Mechanical Repairs when required
• Ensure high standards
• Safety culture
• Provide exceptional leadership and direction to employees
• Ensure strict compliance with safety obligations policies, procedures, customer requirements, and legislative obligations
This is a hands-on role, working with a supportive and professional team.
Requirements:
The applicant must demonstrate finely tuned organisational skills and previous experience in managing a team.
Essential Requirements:
• Proven mechanical knowledge.
• Experience supervising a team, including task allocation, performance management, and fostering a safe, productive working environment.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices within a mechanical or workshop setting.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
Desirable:
• Trade qualification as a Mechanic (Heavy Vehicle Desirable).
• Experience working with a fleet of commercial or heavy vehicles.
• Familiarity with workshop management systems or maintenance scheduling software.
• Knowledge of inventory control and spare parts management.
