We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Building Associate to join their expanding team. This position is ideal for individuals seeking to grow their career within the construction industry and gain hands-on experience in project coordination and site operations.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Assist in coordinating steel fixing and reinforcement work by accurately interpreting structural drawings and ensuring alignment with project specifications and compliance requirements.
- Manage the delivery and on-site distribution of steel, tools, and equipment to support efficient workflow and maintain construction schedules.
- Provide support in estimating material and labour costs, as well as projected timelines, to assist with project planning, tenders, and any contract adjustments.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of steel fixers and other site personnel, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and in accordance with quality expectations.
- Monitor ongoing work to verify that steel placement and reinforcement are completed to required technical standards and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate progress records, identify and report any issues or delays, and communicate updates to supervisors or project managers.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant qualification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a site-based or construction support role, ideally within steel fixing or structural reinforcement.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, WHS standards, and materials.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret structural and reinforcement drawings.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively, solve problems under pressure, and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 - $90.000 p.a plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
