Description:
We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator / Multi-Skilled Operator based near Roma, Queensland, to join our client’s team working across irrigation and agricultural earthworks projects. This hands-on role involves operating excavators and a variety of machinery to carry out tasks with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, adaptable, and committed to maintaining high standards in both operation and equipment care.Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Excavators, Posi Track, Tractor, Truck, and a Trencher.
- Trenching (excavator and trencher).
- Excavating around underground pipelines (water).
- Pipe laying.
- Backfilling & compaction.
- Loading trucks.
- General earth works, levelling, and erosion control.
- Must maintain machines to a high standard and keep clean and tidy.
- Expertise in operating excavators and a broad array of heavy machinery.
- A strong commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of safe operation practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and autonomously, contributing to cooperative project goals.
- Meticulous attention to detail, especially regarding machine maintenance and operational checks.
- Passionate about agriculture and earthworks, with a strong affinity for working in rural environments.
- Physical robustness to meet the physical demands of extensive machinery operation.
- Undertake daily maintenance and safety checks to ensure machinery operates at peak efficiency.
- Foster positive interactions and relationships with clients, contractors, and colleagues.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Director or Supervisor.
- Must have a driver's licence, reliable vehicle and an up-to-date police clearance.
- Must be able to provide work-related references.
