Description:
We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced male support worker to provide one-on-one support to a male participant living with a psychosocial disability, specifically paranoid schizophrenia , in Slacks Creek .Essential Requirements
You must have demonstrated experience supporting individuals with paranoid schizophrenia and managing complex behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide trauma-informed, consistent support tailored to the participant’s needs
- Assist in emotional regulation and promote wellbeing and self-determination
- Encourage and model healthy communication and interpersonal relationships
- Maintain a stable and supportive home environment
- Uphold the participant’s dignity, values, and cultural identity

Casual - 32 hours per fortnight
Week 1:
- Friday 17:00pm to 9:00am (Sleepover 22:00pm to 6:00am) - 8 hours
- Sunday 17:00pm to 9:00am (Sleepover 22:00pm to 6:00am) - 8 hours
- Friday 17:00pm to 9:00am (Sleepover 22:00pm to 6:00am) - 8 hours
- Sunday 17:00pm to 9:00am (Sleepover 22:00pm to 6:00am) - 8 hours
Position 2
Casual - 25 hours per fortnight
Week 1:
- Thursday 17:00pm to 9:00am (sleepover 22:00pm to 6:00am) - 8 hours
- Saturday 17:00pm to 10:00am (sleepover 22:00pm to 6:00am) - 9 hours
- Thursday 17:00pm to 9:00am (sleepover 22:00pm to 6:00am) - 8 hours
About You
You are a reliable, experienced support worker with:
- A background in supporting individuals with psychosocial disability and behavioural complexities .
- A strong understanding of trauma-informed care and person-centred practice .
- Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
- The ability to remain calm, consistent, and supportive under pressure.
- A genuine passion for helping others achieve stability and independence.
- Day: $33.96/hr
- Afternoon: $37.36/hr
- Night (active): $38.04/hr
- Saturday: $47.55/hr
- Sunday: $61.13/hr
- Public Holiday: $74.72/hr
- Sleepover: $50 flat rate for sleeping
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check/Blue Card
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Mental Health, Disability, or equivalent
- Australian Driver’s Licence and access to a comprehensive insured vehicle
