At Kingston Council, we pride ourselves on exceptional community service that makes a real difference. We're seeking an energetic Senior Sport and Recreation Planner to join our dynamic Active Kingston team and help shape the future of sport and recreation in our vibrant municipality.

About the Role :
Reporting to the Team Leader, you'll play a pivotal role in developing strategies, policies and projects that enhance participation, equity and access across our diverse sport and recreation offerings. With your expertise, you'll lead population-level planning for facilities and services, engage stakeholders, and drive innovation to meet evolving community needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading research, analysis and strategic planning for sport and recreation
  • Developing facility provision plans and advocating for inclusive infrastructure
  • Building collaborative partnerships with clubs, organisations and government

To succeed, you'll need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in sport/recreation planning, community development or a related field (or extensive experience)
  • In-depth knowledge of sport, active recreation and planning principles
  • Exceptional project management capabilities
  • A knack for interpreting data and preparing high-quality reports
