About the Role :
Reporting to the Team Leader, you'll play a pivotal role in developing strategies, policies and projects that enhance participation, equity and access across our diverse sport and recreation offerings. With your expertise, you'll lead population-level planning for facilities and services, engage stakeholders, and drive innovation to meet evolving community needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading research, analysis and strategic planning for sport and recreation
- Developing facility provision plans and advocating for inclusive infrastructure
- Building collaborative partnerships with clubs, organisations and government

We're seeking an experienced planner with a passion for community wellbeing and inclusion. You'll bring exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, strategic thinking, and a track record in developing contemporary sport/recreation strategies and solutions.
To succeed, you'll need:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in sport/recreation planning, community development or a related field (or extensive experience)
- In-depth knowledge of sport, active recreation and planning principles
- Exceptional project management capabilities
- A knack for interpreting data and preparing high-quality reports
