Glenorchy City Council is currently seeking passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educators to join our teams at our Moonah and Berriedale Early Education & Care Services. About the Role
As an Early Childhood Educator, you’ll play a vital role in creating engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences, while ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of every child. You'll be part of a collaborative, professional team that’s making a meaningful difference in the local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care with a strong focus on safety, health, and wellbeing.
- Design and implement educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Lead and contribute to team discussions on child development, using your expertise to enhance learning outcomes.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging environment that supports every child’s growth and development.
What We're Looking For
We’re seeking individuals who are enthusiastic, nurturing, and ready to make an impact. To be successful, you will have:
- A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or be actively working towards one.
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and EYLF.
- A collaborative approach to working within a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a deep appreciation for family engagement.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar setting.
- A current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People – Child Related Activity.

Days and Position Hours are flexible: Monday to Friday with part-time hours up to 38 hours per week. There are also casual positions available.
