As a Finance Officer, you’ll play a key role in managing financial processes and providing expert support in areas including financial operations, reporting, planning, and policy. The work requires a capacity for independent thinking and judgement to assists in the management of financial operations for the unit.
What You Will Be Doing
- Process daily Tenancy, Bond Loan, and Home Loan refunds.
- Prepare financial journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Monitor and clear suspense accounts, correcting any variances.
- Provide data entry and financial support for Tenancy, Bond Loan, and Home Loan clients using systems such as Reside, Bondscape, and Loanscape.
- Transfer credits, and other financial adjustments as required.
- Handle the filing, retrieval, and management of documents, reports and other records.
- Compile reconciliations for Balance Sheet accounts specific to the General Ledger.
- Validate Bond Loan refund processing through the Accounts Payable Status report on a daily basis.
- Check and post all Bond Loan transactions through Bondscape.
- Reconcile daily totals for cash receipting registers against SAP reports.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly reconciliations.
- Monitor all generic mailboxes within the team.
- Perform ad hoc duties as requested by the Team Leader.
- Liaise with internal and external clients regarding financial matters.
- Please note that due to the recent Machinery of Government change, this department is now the Department of Housing and Public Works.
