The Role
The Australian Industry Capability (AIC) Program Support & Assurance team is seeks an energetic officer with a passion for supporting opportunities for Australian companies to compete on merit for Defence work. You will play an important role in the team, ensuring that Defence procurement activities are aligned with AIC objectives. As an AIC Program Support and Training Officer, you will:
- Be responsible for managing and undertaking a variety of activities which support the growth of AIC Program knowledge and awareness across Defence and industry.
- Grow AIC program knowledge and awareness within the Defence environment through coordinated engagement activities and training programs.
- Deliver presentations, briefing and reports to diverse audiences, effectively conveying complex information in a clear and engaging manner.
About our Team
The Industry Engagement Division (IE Div) supports Defence's delivery of the Government's policy direction to equip and sustain the ADF. IE Div develops and delivers initiatives that are designed to develop a deeper and broader sovereign industrial base while making Defence a stronger client.
The Office of Defence Industry Support Branch works closely with senior Defence leaders and Ministers providing advice and support to Capability and Project Managers.
We work across Defence and with other federal agencies to implement the AIC Program, drive exports through the creation of supply chain opportunities, run the Defence Industry Studies Course, and help Defence understand industry capability with specialised tools.
Working with us will provide a unique opportunity to engage with Government and Industry on an important Government initiative, and an opportunity to develop and utilise your commercial acumen and experience.

- Familiar with the Commonwealth Procurement Policy Framework/ASDEFCON contracting suite;

- Able to use initiative, analyse information and apply critical thinking skills;
- Able to work autonomously and to effectively manage competing priorities;
- Support industry, Defence stakeholders to improve compliance with industry policy and in the delivery of the AIC program to achieve government strategic objectives for Australian Defence Industry
- Trustworthy, transparent and possesses a high level of integrity; and
- Able to engage with stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and levels of seniority.
