Description:

My People Solutions Recruitment are currently seeking to fill a number of Disability Support Worker (Standard Level & High Intensity Level) vacancies in North & East Metro Melbourne suburbs and are keen to speak with applicants who have at least 2 years of disability support worker experience.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their commitment to delivering quality care for clients, their reliability and willingness to work. Due to ongoing changing client requirements, applicants must also be flexible and able to work across a variety of days & hours each week and be willing to travel to more than one client's home a day.

NDIS WORKER SCREENING CHECK, POLICE CHECK, FIRST AID/CPR, WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK, CAR & CAR LICENCE ARE ESSENTIAL

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2+ years' experience of working as a disability support worker.

  • Experience of working with adults & children with Autism/ADHD, Mental Health, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Intellectual Disabilities, Mental Health, Dementia & Advance Manual Handling Supports, Positive Behaviours, Restrictive Practices, will be highly regarded.

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, Vaccinations (including COVID), CPR & First Aid, right to work in Australia, 100 Points of ID, Driving Licence and access to a reliable car are essential.

  • Cert III Individual Supports, Cert IV Disability and / or Mental Health Care Qualification, or equivalent are preferred

  • Full driving licence, access to a reliable car & comprehensive car insurance.

  • Ability to communicate, problem solve and use life experience along with integrity, honesty & reliability are critical attributes for this role.

You will be required to undertake online and in person knowledge & skills development ongoing as an essential part of your role.

NOTE: All the roles available include some level of personal care and assistance as a standard part of the disability support worker's role.
