About Your New RoleThe Senior WHS Assurance Officer is a pivotal role within the City of Gold Coast’s Work Health and Safety (WHS) Strategy Branch, focusing on enhancing and leading contemporary WHS assurance activities across the organisation.
This role demands extensive experience in modern safety practices and the capability to influence and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to foster a culture of continuous improvement and proactive safety management.

We're Looking For People Who Have
A degree or diploma in relevant field Substantial knowledge and previous experience as a Health and Safety Management Systems Lead Auditor or substantial knowledge and previous experience as a WHS Contractor Management Lead Demonstrated professional work experience in WHS assurance coordinating, developing and implementing effective assurance activities and services ensuring a quality outcomes Thorough technical knowledge of current QLD WHS legislation and its application Effective analytical, problem solving, auditing and investigation skills. Contributes to the development and achievement of group objectives, is respectful, actively listens to and seeks out opinions and ideas from others. Works independently and within a team environment and fosters good relationships with other team members Can manage multiple tasks and competing priorities Current open driver’s licence – class C unrestricted
