Job Summary:
Amentum is seeking a highly experienced Project Development & Controls Manager to lead and manage proposal development and project controls for infrastructure and facility-related projects in Alice Springs. This position plays a key role in strategic planning, cost control, scheduling, and risk management, and works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, compliant, and high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead multidisciplinary teams in the development of project proposals and execution planningOversee cost-loaded schedules, EACs, risk identification, change management, and performance metricsCoordinate with Procurement, Subcontracts, and internal stakeholders to drive effective planning and vendor engagementEnsure compliance with Amentum and customer policies throughout the project lifecycleManage transition from proposal phase to project execution through structured handoversFoster team development, training, and continuous improvementMaintain thorough documentation, records, and performance reportingPromote a culture of safety and compliance on all sites
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be consideredDemonstrated leadership experience managing complex projects or proposalsStrong background in project controls including scheduling, cost control, and performance reportingExperience with SOW development for EPC or construction contractsProficiency in Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Excel, and Adobe SuiteEligible for NV1 (AU) or Top Secret (U.S.) security clearanceMinimum age: 18; fluent in written and spoken English
Desirable:
Postgraduate qualifications in Project Management or BusinessExperience in defence or secure environments
