About YouTo undertake this position, you will have experience in infrastructure planning and design, project management and project controls control and reporting.
You will have experience in project management, contract management or other relevant field, such as civil engineering.
The position's focus will be:Undertake, or assist in undertaking, the prioritisation, planning, coordinating and controlling of infrastructure projects and programs to ensure that they meet quality and budget requirements, and are delivered in a cost effective and timely manner.Prepare project plans, tender documentation and expressions of interest for projects and programs and coordinate their delivery and financial administration.Assist in the management of projects from inception to completion, including all project lifecycle stages.Assist in the preparation of communication plans and consult with the community and key stakeholders regarding construction issues, timings and project impacts to ensure all stakeholders are kept well informed.Prepare project management plans, monitor conformance and address project risks and issues expediently.Effectively engage consultants, contractors and internal resources to deliver projects.Liaise with Government agencies and Council clients to ensure that projects are planned, coordinated and implemented in accordance with statutory obligations and Council objectives.Foster an organisational culture which promotes teamwork, personal accountability and encourages continuous improvement.Create a culture where our staff regularly go above and beyond what is required and are able to make decisions quickly to meet customer needs.Exhibit personal behaviours that support the desired Council culture including innovation, sustainability and working in partnership with our community.Such other relevant duties as required from time to time which would generally fall within the scope of this position.
