About the Role:
MPK is seeking a Field Technician to join our Information, Systems and Technology (IS&T) Team based out of the Brisbane Support Office. Reporting to the Group Manager - IS&T, the Field Technician will be a frontline member of the IS&T Team, providing face to face and remote support for desktop, mobile, infrastructure and systems.
This role will involve travel to remote sites to provide assistance and support across the organisation.
Main duties outlined below:
- Serve as a level 2 escalation point for the Service Desk team, providing assistance to troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktop computing, infrastructure and systems
- Issue and retrieve IS&T equipment to and from staff as required
- Assist with procurement responsibilities as required, including updating ERP systems and maintaining accurate data of stock levels, locations and recharge assignments
- Travel to remote sites to provide local support and troubleshooting, site mobilization/demobilization, upgrades and improvements as required.
- Troubleshoot and isolate network and telecommunications issues
- Assist with the maintenance and management of IS&T Systems and help to find ways to improve the efficiency and automation of those systems
- Support IS&T specialist roles by embarking on training path relevant to functions of interest (eg. Sharepoint, automation)
Skills And Experiences
About You:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, experience & knowledge/skills:
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or similar relevant area of study
- Industry certification in specialized Information Technology skill or similar relevant area
- Experience providing Level 1 and 2 Support, preferably in a construction environment
- Experiencing troubleshooting Network and server systems both locally and remotely
- Experience setting up and breaking down site communication equipment
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 applications
- Demonstrable knowledge of compute and mobile device technologies
- Understanding of network and telecommunications technologies
- Understanding of the Microsoft 365 administration portal
- Communicate openly and professionally in-person and using a variety of media including messaging, email and telephone
- Work effectively as part of a close-knit team
- Enjoy accountability within a challenging and complex environment
- Ability to work unsupervised and maintain high standards and enthusiasm
- Eager to travel and work from many of our different sites
