Permanent role paying $95k + Super + Fully maintained Company Vehicle and allowances!This role will see you working across Commercial sites in Sydney and over both day and afternoon shifts. You will predominantly be based in Mascot.

The Client:
- A National industry leader in Audio Visual systems, Lighting and production communications. Specializing in sporting venues, theatres/performing arts centre’s, houses of worship, schools, public precincts/conference centres, corporate facilities, parliaments, TV studios and councils
The Role:
As part of the projects team, the role will work collaboratively with the Installed Systems Manager, other project managers and installation technicians within the team assisting with tasks on construction sites, client premises and within our clients Greenacre facility.
The role will be working in a team environment, being responsible for ensuring proper and timely installation of systems across various projects. The role will see you performing several tasks within a single project and handling all aspects of the installation process covering theatrical drapes and track, stage machinery and equipment, audio, AV, lighting, broadcast and control systems, working with product and system schematics. This role will also guide our entry and mid-level installation technicians.
The role also requires good computer knowledge, excellent customer service and communication with members across various teams including internal and external key stakeholders.
Your customers include (but not limited to) sporting venues, theatres/performing arts centre’s, houses of worship, schools, public precincts/conference centres, corporate facilities, parliaments, TV studios and councils. Customers are a mix of end users, consultants, contractors and construction companies
Duties:
Whilst there are numerous key responsibilities and tasks associated with the role (detailed below) the focus is to ensure that task requests are handled in a timely and effective manner, providing a positive outcome every time.
The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Reviewing and understanding installation documentation to gain an understanding of the works required.
- Installation of theatrical drapes, track and lighting bars through to hoists, counterweight fly systems, portable staging and theatre machinery.
- Installation of cable including cable support and opening of cable pathways.
- Installation of equipment including mounting brackets and equipment structural supports.
- Testing functionality and performance following system installations.
- Developing safe work method statements for specific projects in consultation with the WHS department and site staff members.
- Completing general administration tasks.
- On-site training of entry and mid-level installation technicians.
- Travelling to various sites and businesses undertaking installation works.
- Consulting with builders and/or customers regarding site requirements, work health and safety expectations, site inductions and site-specific queries.
- In concert with the Manager, Installed Systems determining if additional staffing/assistance is required to complete a project.
- Maintaining tools and equipment to ensure optimal operating conditions.
- Providing written and verbal instructions to customers on how to operate equipment (as required).
- Completing works in the order specified on the work schedule
The Candidate:
To be successful in obtaining this role you will have the following experience:
- At least 5+ years on site Installation experience (including construction sites).
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ‘yellow’ card
- Construction ‘white’ card
- Other trade related or audio/visual qualifications
- Current NSW Working with Children Check – or willingness to obtain
- Current Police Check – or willingness to obtain
- Current Drivers licence
- Full eligibility to work in Australia
- Have a demonstrated interest and understanding in audio visual technology.
- Understand construction methodologies including cable installations and structural integrity of materials.
- Proficient across Microsoft office suite and computer hardware.
- Effective communication skills (including written, verbal and virtual).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build a rapport with others and an ability work collaboratively.
- A capacity to balance the need to operate independently or work as part of a team, as various projects/tasks may require.
- Have a solid understanding with best practice work health and safety.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which are solutions focused.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, delivering to agreed outcomes.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed.
- Have a proactive, adaptable, and positive approach.
- Proven experience with delivering client focused solutions.
