About the role

Camco Contracting Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Supervisor/Assessor to join our team in Townsville, Queensland. As a full-time role, this position will be responsible for overseeing construction projects and ensuring the efficient and safe execution of all tasks.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction crews to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standards Monitor work progress and provide guidance to crews to address any issues or challenges that arise Conduct regular site inspections and quality assessments to identify and resolve any defects or non-conformances Provide training and mentorship to construction workers to develop their skills and competencies Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies to protect workers and the public Maintain accurate records and documentation related to project activities and personnel

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years of experience as a construction supervisor or assessor in the Construction industry Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment used in the Foreperson/Supervisors sub-industry Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and safety protocols Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders Relevant qualifications or certifications in construction management, occupational health and safety, or related fields
