This role will lead the product management of our Core Subscriptions product, which already helps more than 4,000 medical centres around Australia enable the best possible patient experience to over 10 million Australians. You and your design, data and engineering peers will be responsible for our core products, including HotDoc Bookings, Bookings Payments and associated Patient Engagement tooling. Millions of Australians rely on these products every month, and it’s our largest P&L contributor. Improvements in this space have the opportunity to improve the healthcare experience of 1 in 3 Australians.
This role will lead the product management for our Core Subscriptions Team, which owns the HotDoc clinical staff (owners, administrators and receptionists) experience. You and your design, data and engineering peers will be responsible for:
Managing products that empower clinical staff (owners, administrators and receptionists) to run their practice more effectively and efficientlyMaking the HotDoc clinical staff experience more useful and valuable, maximising customer stickiness and creating new sources of revenueWorking closely with customer-facing teams to communicate the benefits of using HotDocMillions of Australians rely on HotDoc every month and working with us gives gives you the opportunity to improve the healthcare experience of 1 in 3 Australians
Unique value of the role
The purpose of this role is to autonomously lead a product team to identify customer value and build products that grow HotDoc as a company. This is achieved through close relationships with customers, a thorough understanding of the healthcare industry, and strong stakeholder engagement. Crucial to this role is a deep understanding of the cross section between customer needs and the business objectives, and an ability to tie your product outcomes to them.
The Product Manager is able to prioritise complex projects in collaboration with senior leadership.
Key Accountabilities
- Creating exceptional clinical staff experiences accessed through HotDoc (primarily through web applications)
- Leading innovation to identify new product opportunities that solve customer pain points and support business goals
- Iterating on and optimising existing products to achieve specific product metrics
- Rapidly develop and test minimum viable solutions to quickly validate hypotheses, learn from users, and iteratively improve products
- Working with Senior Leadership to ensure the product team has clear 3-12 month goals that align with and support HotDoc's vision and goals, supported by UX research/quant data
- Building products that clearly work in service of those goals; Strengthen the connection between product development and company results by requiring all product initiatives to explicitly link back to at least one company objective
- Maintaining close relationships with senior leadership across HotDoc as well as designers, engineers, and PMs within the Product team
- Building and maintaining productive relationships with GTM and customer-facing teams (sales, marketing and customer service managers) to successfully release and grow products
- Having a thorough understanding of your area of responsibility informed by customer insights, competitor analysis, and the broader healthcare landscape
- Regularly meeting/surveying customers and creating a culture within the team of frequent feedback
- Reporting commercial and product related impacts of your area to senior leadership and the wider business
- Contributing to the long-term Product vision

Required Experience, Capabilities & Skills
- 2+ years of professional and related Product Management experience, preferably B2B SaaS or a large B2B product line
- Experience with commercial modelling of new products
- Experience working with senior leadership
- Experience with goal setting and reporting
- Experience with analytics tools and working with datasets
- Experience conducting product exploration and prioritisation activities
- Experience delivering new products from ideation to product market fit
- Experience with SaaS covering desktop and mobile apps for web and native OS.
- Experience working with engineers in an agile environment
- Are highly empathic and committed to being an advocate for our users
Required Education / Qualifications
- Degree or training in a field relevant to product management, technology, or design
