Your new role
We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller – Major Accounts to join our Accounts Receivable team in South Melbourne on a permanent full-time basis.
As our new Major Accounts - Credit Controller, you will manage the end-to-end AR function of 2-3 key national customers.
Prepare monthly banking downloads and reconciliations for your accounts, assist the team in maximising cash flow (in full and on time) and minimising overdue debt risk. You’ll apply credit practices to your assigned customers based on agreed terms.
Build rapport and support the customer by actioning open items on the reconciliation to enable settlement of outstanding transactions. Work towards best practice by following up open queries and credits with the Claims team, providing match offs listing and ensuring invoices and PODs have been provided.
Engage at a store level when required to resolved items in dispute or resolve reconciling items. Manage Master data updates for your stores and new store openings. You will also conduct continual risk identification, evaluation, and mitigation to ensure uninterrupted functional operation.
As our Key Accounts - Credit controller, your day-to-day will include (not limited to):
- Apply best practice to manage key customer accounts to remain in terms with minimal overdue per AR team goals.
- Provide thorough and timely (monthly account) reconciliations.
- Manage any queries raised because of the reconciliation.
- Monitor open claims ensuring prompt resolution & follow up of Claims team.
- Provide monthly cash projections.
- Update master data additions/changes
- Prepare monthly reporting and managing payment uploads.
- Manage ‘Held’ orders.
- General administration of your key accounts and reporting as required including copy invoices, Pods, additional matching of transactions (credit notes and claims or short payments)
- Work towards set AR goals and KPI’s (DSO, Overdue Debt, Bad Debts, Cash Allocations)
About you
Along with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, you’ll have:
- Advanced excel/reconciliation skills, exposure to Microsoft Dynamics365
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills.
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- An ability to work autonomously.
- Results orientated and excellent time management.
