An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant (Organ Donation Specialist Coordinator) to join the Intensive Care Team at the Hervey Bay Hospital within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Your opportunity:

  • The Clinical Nurse Consultant (Organ Donation Specialist Coordinator) is a clinical leader, accountable at an advanced practice level for the coordination of patient centred clinical practice specific to organ and tissue donation within the Intensive Care Unit.
  • The Clinical Nurse Consultant (Organ Donation Specialist Coordinator) demonstrates sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory and provides clinical leadership, advice and advocacy to a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for the facilitation and provision of quality and cost effective nursing and/or midwifery services which are consistent with contemporary standards, guidelines, relevant legislation and best practice.

Temporary Part Time (16 hours p.f.) from 30th June 2025 until 5th July 2026 with the possibility of extension.

Our offer:

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $34,570 p.a., comprising salary between $27,907 - $30,299 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 7) (Temporary Part Time, 16 hours p.f., from 30th June 2025 until 5th July 2026 with the possibility of extension) (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
