Description:
Our client, HMA Group t/as Diamond Power Australia Pty Ltd, is a leading provider of industrial equipment and services across mining, processing, power generation, and other industries since 1966. They offer expert support from equipment supply to installation and maintenance. They are currently seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings, work orders, and planning sheets accurately.
- Measure, mark out, and cut metal stock using oxy-cutting, plasma cutting, and in-house cutting machinery.
- Fabricate and assemble metal components, including straight sections, bends (standard and Weartech), branches, Y-pieces, and structural components.
- Perform welding operations such as flat and vertical butt welding, fillet welding on various fabricated components.
- Operate and maintain fabrication machinery including bend cutting machines and Weartech cutting machines.
- Conduct repairs and refurbishments on pipework and fabricated components.
- Perform surface preparation and finishing tasks, including blasting.
- Inspect and ensure the quality of welded and fabricated components.
- Comply with workplace safety standards and procedures at all times.
Requirements:
- Relevant trade qualification
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
