About Clinical Education
The Clinical Education Program supports the hospital to achieve its strategic directions by the provision of frameworks for the professional development of health professionals. The Clinical Education Program supports the growth and maintenance of the future nursing and midwifery workforce through coordination of the nursing and midwifery student, graduate, and specialty post-graduate programs.
About The Role
The Clinical Educator - Midwifery is a pivotal learning and education leadership position. This position is responsible for delivery of defined education and learning support portfolios that may include but are not limited to:
Coordination of the Women’s in-service and professional development program for maternity services Interprofessional simulation education and training Scope of practice learning e.g. newborn examination Orientation of new midwives to the service
About You
You will need to be a registered midwife with recent advanced and extensive clinical midwifery skills across the whole midwifery continuum (antenatal, birth centre and postnatal) in a tertiary centre.
You’ll Bring With You
Current experience as a clinical support midwife (CSM), clinical educator or similarDemonstrated passion for collaborative inter-professional practice and creating positive learning environmentsMinimum three (3) years post registration consolidationRANZCOG FSEP Level 3 Practitioner score and ability to facilitate interactive FSEP learning sessions
