First Steps Learning Academy is a privately owned long day care centre catering for children 0-5 years. We strive to provide the highest quality care and education for our children. We employ dedicated qualified educators who are committed to further learning and are passionate about teaching and caring for children in their early learning years.
As Assistant Centre Manager you will:

Partner with the Centre Manager to run a smooth and efficient centre operations for all children and their families

Support the running of the Centre including occupancy, ratio management and centre operating expenses.

Recruit, train and support a team of passionate educators to best practice and oversee and guide the highest quality of classroom curriculum

You will ensure our Centre is always immaculately presently and that all internal and external play spaces are fresh, age appropriate and safe

You will have a sound working knowledge of relevant industry regulations and legislation, including the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework.
You will hold:

Diploma or Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)

A valid Working with Children Check

Strong understanding of Regulation/Legislation, plus Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS) essential

Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates
-
Proven experience managing a child care centre.

Strong team leadership experience

Working knowledge of computer skills including OWNA (beneficial but not essential)
