About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to ssist the STARS Business Manager and Senior Finance Officers and broader Business Support Team by undertaking a range of business support and finance functions. These include financial analysis, budgeting, reporting, accrual accounting processes and general ledger activities.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Prepare routine business reporting comparing staffing and activity data with budgets, targets, benchmarks and relevant key performance indicators.
- Actively participate in the development, implementation, review and maintenance of internal systems, processes and work practices. Identify areas for improvement and recommend/implement enhancements to existing practices.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests for financial and activity-based information by completing analysis, advice and producing reports.
- Contribute to month-end processes such as journal preparation, accruals, cost centre maintenance and payroll adjustments within agreed timeframes.
