Your Opportunity:
RMH are inviting doctors who will have completed 12 months of accredited Basic Physician Training (i.e., RACP BPT1) by February 2026 to apply to join or continue at RMH as a BPT2. RMH offer a structured training program designed around maximising you’re training and education prior to exams and ensuring you have a breadth of experience in both General and Specialty Medicine prior to commencing advanced training.
The Royal Melbourne Hospital is part of the Greater Western Basic Physician Training Consortium (GWC). The objectives of the GWC are to improve, and make more equitable, the standard of Basic Physician Training across all of its member health services.
RMH trainees should be prepared to rotate to an external partner site once per year in BPT2 and a further external rotation in BPT3. These rotations provide an experience unique to rural health services which you would not receive by remaining at RMH for the entirety of your training.
