Junior / Mid Level Cyber Security Analyst - Financial Services

Description:

Work within this well respected, established and leading financial services company, who provide leading edge banking products.
In this role, you will sit in the IT Security team of 4 (plus multiple resources from vendors) and will be be responsible for safeguarding the company's IT systems from internal and external threats. You will monitor and administer the various systems the team uses, will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify vulnerabilities, respond to incidents, and implement strategies that enhance the overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage the various Security Information and Event Management Tools (SIEM) that the company utilises, including how they integrate to various network devices.
• Monitor and analyse DLP alerts
• Administer and oversee the Active Directory environment.
• Look at ways to automate manual processes, so that the team's time can be spent on preventative measures, reviewing and uplifting the Cyber maturity across the company
• Woring with external vendors, perform Threat hunting.
• Proactively perform forensic analysis of IOCs such as suspicious IP addresses or malware hashes.
• Run workshops and training to educate the wider business cyber security.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree or diploma in Information Technology , Cyber Security , or a related field.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+ , CISSP , or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of information security laws and compliance regulations .
• Experience managing IT security and compliance across internal teams and outsourced service providers.
• Proficient in conducting security audits and identifying vulnerabilities in information systems.
• Skilled in forensic investigations and incident response.
• Ability to assess risks to information assets and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
