In this dynamic role, you’ll collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders—researchers, funding providers, and professional colleagues—delivering expert advice and seamless post-award services. From preparing and reviewing grant agreements to managing project variations and ensuring compliance, your contributions will directly support UQ’s reputation for research excellence.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitate the acceptance, establishment, and management of research grants, ensuring compliance with funding provider and UQ policies.

  • Deliver timely and accurate advice to researchers on grant agreements, project variations, and reporting requirements.

  • Build strong working relationships with funding providers, internal teams, and faculty staff to support effective research funding management.

  • Review and execute grant agreements, assist with project variations, and address research funding issues promptly and efficiently.

About You
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in administration, program, or project management, with a preference for experience in research grant support.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proven expertise in drafting, reviewing, and administering documents, and interpreting policies and procedures in a complex environment.

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering quality, customer-focused services under tight deadlines.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Advanced computer literacy and experience with business management software and its applications.


The successful candidates may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia and a criminal check.
