From 1 July 2025, the Queensland Academy of Sports (QAS) will become a Statutory Body - guided by our values and driven to Inspire Extraordinary Sporting Success. We're building a future-focused organisation, and this is your chance to help shape it.

We're seeking a dynamic Board Secretariat to support the QAS Board and its committees at the highest level. Working closely with our new Board and Senior Leadership Team, you'll be at the forefront of transformation—ensuring best-practice quality assurance of Board activities, support and coordination.

If you're passionate about high performance and want to be part of shaping change and a new corporate structure, we want to hear from you.

Are you ready to bring your secretariat expertise to a role where your work directly supports the success of Queensland's elite athletes? Join the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) as we embark on an exciting period of growth and transformation. We are seeking an experienced and efficient Board Secretariat who thrives in a dynamic, high-performance environment.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for supporting the new QAS Board, working closely with the CEO and Executive Director, Corporate Services to manage Board processes, agendas and briefing materials.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate meetings, development and quality assurance of Board Papers and briefing materials, slide creation, annotation of agendas, recording of minutes, oversight of resulting actions and decisions, record keeping and document management.
• Develop and maintain board policies and governance procedures in collaboration with the Principal Governance and Reporting Advisor.
• Communicate and coordinate actions and decisions of Board and committee meetings, including record keeping, minute taking of committee meetings and ensuring progress against actions is monitored.
• Oversee travel arrangements and expense reimbursement for Board Members, whilst managing meeting logistics.

This is a rare opportunity to make a meaningful impact in Queensland's highperformance sport system—delivering Board support that enables athlete success, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability.

Applications will remain current for 12 months.
