Description:
The Field Service Technician role is responsible for carrying out mechanical & electrical service and repair work.
Role & Responsibilities:

Perform preventive maintenance, mechanical and electrical repairs to a high standard on commercial sweepers, floor scrubbers and pressure washers

Diagnose & repair breakdowns accurately, complete overhauls, warranty repairs, carry out pre deliveries across the full range of Karcher Industrial cleaning equipment

Maintain the service van, including supplied tools, and workshop in a safe & orderly manner

Complete service documentation of work orders on Karchers’ CRM - Microsoft FS365, ensuring accurate records are kept at a high standard

Effective daily communication with Service Manager & Scheduler

Control van stocks in accordance with customer base – ensuring 5% difference adhered to during all stock takes

Identifying and communicating sales leads to relevant sales person

Promoting healthy relationships with customers and colleagues
Skills & Competencies:
-
At least 3 to 5 years of service related mechanical or electrical work in a automotive workshop environment well regarded
-
Mechanical or auto electrician experience is well regarded

Field service experience
-
Diagnostic troubleshooting on battery electrics, hydraulics and/or combustion engine-powered equipment

Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record

Proven experience in cleaning / forklift / automotive industries well regarded

A self-starter who can effectively work autonomously when required

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team

Proven ability to understand and communicate information of a technical nature

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to adhere to a work schedule

Willingness to travel and stay overnight (regional jobs), as required
