About the role


FGI Developments' is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join our dynamic team in Cairns, Queensland. As a full-time role, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing the administration and execution of construction contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

What you'll be doing

  • Liaise with project managers, subcontractors and clients to coordinate contract requirements and deliverables

  • Prepare, review and negotiate contract documents such as agreements, variations and extensions

  • Monitor contract compliance and identify potential issues or risks, implementing mitigation strategies

  • Maintain detailed records and documentation to support contract administration processes

  • Provide guidance and support to the broader project team on contractual matters

  • Assist with tender processes, including preparing RFQs and evaluating submissions

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless contract administration across all projects

What we're looking for

  • Significant experience as a Contract Administrator in the construction industry

  • Excellent knowledge of contract law, procurement processes and construction standards

  • Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Proficient in contract management software and MS Office suite

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Law, Project Management, Engineering)
