Queensland Transcultural Mental Health Centre are looking for a Transcultural Mental Health Clinician - Advanced Clinical Leader to join their team. This unit is a statewide specialist mental health service hosted at Metro South Hospital Health Service, providing specialist clinical consultation services for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds across all ages and across the continuum of care. The position delivers advanced transcultural mental health services within the Queensland Transcultural Mental Health Centre to achieve excellence in patient care, education, and research.

About the Role

  • Deliver specialised transcultural mental health clinical services statewide in accordance with accepted professional practices, legal and ethical requirements with a high degree of independence.
  • Apply advanced level independent professional judgment regarding the assessment and treatment planning of complex patients.
  • Provide high quality clinical supervision to Senior Transcultural Mental Health Clinicians and allied health assistants to support effective and efficient service delivery of transcultural mental health services.
  • Provide specialised/advanced clinical advice and direction to a team of Senior Transcultural Mental Health Clinicians to ensure effective service delivery and quality outcomes applying change management, conflict resolution and negotiation skills where necessary.
