* Full-time, Fixed term (until May 2027)
* VPS Grade VPSG 6.1 ($138,631 - $162,076, plus superannuation)

What you will be doingReporting directly to the Head of Election Readiness, you will be responsible for:
* Developing and overseeing the election venue strategy and related operational policies, including financial and budget management
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, real estate providers and community partners
* Providing comprehensive strategic advice and detailed reports to senior executives, focusing on venue operations, risk management, and electoral readiness, including the identification of potential operational challenges and mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of venue operations
* Providing strategic direction and leadership to the Election Venues team.
What you will bring to the role
* Demonstrated experience leading large, complex projects with tight timeframes and multiple dependencies
* The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, whilst maintaining focus and adaptability
* Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with demonstrated experience working at senior levels
* Strong communication skills partnered with negotiation, and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to prepare and present high-quality business documentation
* A strategic mindset, with a hands-on approach to execution and delivery
* Commitment to the VEC's core values.
