Working in the South Australian Parliament Research Library
The Library is a small workplace, comprising of staff in Library Services, Research Services, and Administrative Services, with the Parliamentary Librarian as Chief Officer.
The Functions Of The Parliament Research Library Are To
provide effective, efficient, and professional research and library services to Members of Parliament and their staff; and liaise with staff within the Parliament, with government and its agencies, other libraries, external groups, and the broader research community in the provision of these services so that Members are able to effectively discharge their parliamentary duties.
Members and their staff are treated as separate work groups, with officers of the Library required to deliver specific support and services to those work groups in a confidential, trustworthy, reliable, timely, and impartial manner.
While each member of Library staff has their own primary responsibilities and duties, all employees need to maintain a flexible approach and be team focused in order to meet the challenges faced by the Library.

About The Role
This role is based within the Library Services section of the Parliamentary Library.
The position is directly responsible for the maintenance and ongoing development of Library’s digital presence, including, but not limited to the Library Intranet Portal and PADS, PowerBI dashboards and related Library data system requirements.
About You
Significant level of contemporary knowledge in, and experience with, SharePoint Online and contemporary Document Management Systems. Significant level of experience relating to ICT change management and working with ICT specialists to deliver projects in accordance with information management principles and methodologies. High-level interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, with a significant capacity to influence and create trust with senior level stakeholders and people at all levels, negotiate successful outcomes and present complex concepts clearly and concisely. Proven ability to work under broad direction, exercise significant levels of responsibility and decision making in identifying performance outcomes, reviewing operations, and determining priorities to meet project deadlines. Experience in Power BI. Experience in web page design. Experience in SQL. Experience in client-service delivery.
