The Role
Do you enjoy the buzz of a news environment? The busy ABC Melbourne team provides a welcoming environment and is seeking a self-starter to provide high-level administrative, logistics and production planning support to the VIC Newsroom.
In this 7 month backfill position you will be responsible for:
Assisting the Operations Supervisor and Production Manager in the effective day to day operations of the newsroom.
Assisting with the coordination, communication and publication of rosters for news operational and editorial staff.
Coordinating workflows associated with staff recruitment, onboarding, induction and the performance management process.
Financial administration duties.
Assisting with travel proposals, bookings and costings for content initiatives, live events and broadcasts.

About You
You are driven and super organised to juggle multiple priorities working with tight deadlines, whilst maintaining a high attention to detail. You will have demonstrated initiative and are motivated to find ways to improve processes in a fast-paced environment.
You'll also have:
Accomplished timesheet and rostering management skills.
Demonstrated experience in providing financial coordination support and logistics/production planning in a similar role.
Accomplished in the use of systems, including, People Hub Workforce, Concur and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent production and financial planning skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a pro-active approach to problem solving.
