The Role
Reporting to the Shift Leader, the Shift Fitter is a member of the Production Team, working a 12hr rotating shift (7am-7pm ,7pm -7am), 24/7 days, the key responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining safety, quality, and manufacturing standards
- Operating high speed machinery
- Attending to mechanical breakdowns on shift
- Reading & following SOP's
- Contributing to our approach of continuous improvement and helping to achieve world class operational performance.
- When required:
- provide high level trouble shooting.
- preventative maintenance tasks
- assist in necessary modifications.
- technical assistance to reduce production equipment downtime and spoilage.
- assist in machinery changeovers.
- monitoring machinery and resolving issues
All about you
- Trade Qualified Fitter
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical which includes drug & alcohol testing.
- Availability to work across 24hr rotating shift patterns.
