Daniel’s Donuts is a homegrown success story, delighting Australians with our iconic range of mouth-watering range of donuts, pies, and sweet treats—crafted with the highest quality ingredients and served with a smile.
The donuts don’t stop here though. We also own iconic wholesale brands like Doughnut Time, Mr Donut, Anytime Donuts, and Bay Bakery, we’re spreading sweet & savoury vibes far and wide. You’ll find our treats stocked in some big names — Starbucks, Coles, Reddy Express, Woolworths, Ampol, and bp — so whether you're grabbing a coffee, fueling up, or doing the weekly shop, a donut fix, or savoury treat is never far away!
We’re also super pumped to recently been announced as the official donut provider of the AFL, serving club-themed donuts at Marvel Stadium and across the country through our online store.
With rapid growth comes exciting complexity—and that’s where you come in.
The Role
As our Production Planner, you’ll sit at the heart of our production operations, ensuring that what we promise our customers is exactly what we deliver — on time, every time. You’ll work closely with our bakery team, finance, logistics, and store managers to translate sales forecasts into well-oiled production plans. If you thrive on solving puzzles, love a spreadsheet, and are energized by a buzzing factory floor, this is your kind of job.
You will be responsible for monitoring, incoming orders, supply chain problems, forecast changes and inventory issues, to minimise the impact on production. The role will require close collaboration with other departments and the manufacturing team to meet production targets.
Day to Day Responsibilities

-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Finance and Manufacturing to ensure accurate demand forecasting and inventory planning
-
Identify and mitigate potential supply chain constraints that may impact the production schedule
-
Monitor and report on production progress against the schedule, highlighting any deviations or delays and recommending appropriate corrective actions
-
Work closely with the site manufacturing and quality team to optimise production efficiency, minimise waste, and improve product quality
-
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and optimise production capacity
-
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production schedules, inventory levels, and product specifications
-
Communicate production status updates to internal stakeholders such as sales, customer service and logistics

-
Monitor and report weekly to the executive on the adherence to plan, reporting all variances to inventory supply, production output and fulfilment of planned orders. Report any amendments to the plan during the week and provide justification
-
Prepare weekly reports on the previous week’s performance to plan, progress and identify issues with the current week’s plan, and matters required to complete the plan for the next week. Discuss and update the plan for one month and 12-month planning horizons
