About the roleIn this role, you will be responsible for the tracking, management, and optimisation of our IT assets (hardware & software), ensuring accurate asset information for financial reporting and business decision-making. You will also contribute to the delivery of exceptional IT service management by maintaining service management processes, monitoring data quality, and providing insightful reports.
Key Responsibilities
Track and manage IT assets (hardware & software) in the asset register.Ensure operational processes are defined and standard systems are implemented to acquire and maintain IT assets, including license management.Maintain accurate and complete asset information for financial reporting, business decision-making, and risk management.Understand licensing requirements and ensure software is licensed and deployed according to entitlements.Deliver Service Management reports and events to communicate IT Service Management process performance.Assist with Change and Configuration Management and Problem Management tasks.Assist with monitoring software maintenance and coordinating operational license renewals.Adhere to processes and procedures to provide effective solutions to system user issues within agreed SLAs.Assist in identifying and implementing technology and process improvement initiatives.Maintain service management processes (Incident, Service Request Fulfilment, Problem, and Knowledge Management).Monitor data quality of service management systems.
About You
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:3+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in financial services or a similar regulated industry.Tertiary qualifications in IT or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.Previous experience working in an ITIL environment with a strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM).Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Preferable experience with Configuration Management Databases (CMDB).Preferable experience with ServiceNow.Proficiency with Microsoft Service Manager.
